5. Payment, Credit Terms and Card Transactions

5.1 Invoicing
The Supplier may invoice the Buyer for the Goods, including any delivery, carriage, insurance, handling, import, export, or related costs payable by the Buyer, once the Buyer’s Order has been accepted.

5.2 Payment on Confirmation of Order
Unless the Supplier has expressly approved a credit facility or alternative payment period in writing, the Buyer must pay the invoice in full immediately upon confirmation of the Order.

Payment must be made without deduction, withholding, set-off, or counterclaim, by electronic funds transfer directly into the Supplier’s nominated bank account as reflected on the Supplier’s invoice, or through any approved payment method made available by the Supplier.

5.3 Cross-Border Deliveries
Where the Delivery Point is outside the Republic of South Africa, the Buyer shall be responsible for all applicable taxes, duties, levies, customs charges, clearance fees, and related costs.

Unless otherwise agreed in writing, such amounts must be paid to the Supplier within 14 days from the date of the relevant invoice.

5.4 Credit Terms
The Supplier may, in its sole discretion, grant the Buyer a credit period or alternative payment arrangement.

Any credit period granted shall apply only to the specific Order or invoices for which it was approved. It shall not create any entitlement to credit on future Orders.

The Supplier may approve, reduce, extend, suspend, or withdraw any credit facility at any time, without being required to provide reasons.

5.5 Review or Withdrawal of Credit
The Supplier may review the Buyer’s credit terms at any time.

If the Supplier withdraws the Buyer’s credit facility, all outstanding invoices shall become immediately due and payable upon notice to the Buyer.

If the Supplier reduces the Buyer’s credit period, the reduced period shall apply to all invoices issued after the date of such review, unless the Supplier states otherwise in writing.

If the Supplier extends the Buyer’s credit period, the extended period shall apply only from the date confirmed by the Supplier in writing.

5.6 Time for Payment
Time for payment is of the essence.

No payment shall be regarded as received until the Supplier has received cleared funds in its nominated bank account or confirmation of successful payment through an approved payment gateway.

5.7 Allocation of Payments
Where a payment is received without a clear remittance advice or invoice reference, the Supplier may allocate that payment to the oldest outstanding invoice on the Buyer’s account.

5.8 Interest on Overdue Amounts
If the Buyer fails to pay any amount on the due date, the Supplier may charge interest on the overdue amount at the maximum rate permitted under the National Credit Act 34 of 2005, where applicable, or at any other lawful rate available to the Supplier.

Interest shall accrue daily from the due date until the full outstanding amount has been paid, whether before or after judgment.

5.9 No Set-Off or Withholding
The Buyer must pay all amounts due under the Contract in full.

The Buyer may not withhold payment, delay payment, deduct amounts, raise a set-off, or rely on any counterclaim as a reason for non-payment, unless required by law or agreed to in writing by the Supplier.

The Supplier may, at any time and without limiting its other rights, set off any amount owed by the Supplier to the Buyer against any amount owed by the Buyer to the Supplier.

5.10 Suspension of Orders and Deliveries
If any invoice remains overdue, the Supplier may, in its sole discretion and without liability to the Buyer, suspend, delay, or refuse to process, release, dispatch, deliver, or fulfil any Order, including an Order already accepted by the Supplier.

5.11 Accepted Payment Methods
The Supplier may accept payment by bank transfer, Visa, Mastercard, Diners Club, American Express, or any other payment method made available by the Supplier from time to time.

Acceptance of any payment method remains subject to successful processing, verification, fraud screening, and receipt of cleared funds.

5.12 Card Payments and Payment Gateway
Credit and debit card transactions may be processed through the Supplier’s approved payment gateway, including PayFast, PayGate, or any other authorised payment service provider used by the Supplier.

Card payments are processed through secure third-party payment infrastructure. The Supplier does not store the Buyer’s full card details on its own systems.

5.13 Buyer Information
The Buyer’s personal and transaction information may be stored by the Supplier separately from card information and used for order processing, customer service, delivery, warranty support, dispute resolution, accounting, and compliance purposes.

Card information entered during payment is processed through the secure systems of the relevant payment gateway provider.

5.14 Supplier Responsibility for Transactions
For transactions processed through its website or approved payment channels, the Supplier remains responsible for the sale of the Goods or services, customer service, support, dispute handling, and delivery obligations, subject always to these Terms and Conditions.

5.15 Failed, Reversed or Disputed Payments
Where any payment is declined, reversed, disputed, charged back, or not received as cleared funds, the Buyer shall remain fully liable for the outstanding amount, together with any applicable bank charges, gateway fees, administrative costs, collection costs, and legal costs incurred by the Supplier in recovering payment.
